Harouna Goge aka Harouna Oumarou Sanaye is a renowned exponent of the goge, a one string vielle played all over West Africa. The music we hear here comes from the Dendi region in Southern Niger and Northern Benin. It is played during ceremonies - possession, baptism, marriage etc.
