Bio
Singer-songwriter-guitarist. Bob Dylan said "Open your eyes and your ears and you're influenced". Multi Instrumentalist, Mark Alberts has ever been wide-open to every conceivable musical source. Rock, folk, classical, improvisation, you name it. His critical overview and his composer's skill has made him a leading figure in the world of musical illustration.
This, combined with a passion for vintage guitars, amps and drum sets with which he can conjure up the 50's, 60's and 70's and all their Anglo Saxon icons at the drop of a hat, sees him as an influential presence on the French Rock & Roll scene. Wearing his sound engineer's hat, he pllied his trade alongside the likes of Jeff Lynne and Mitch Olivier. Typically, as a counter-balance this world of "pop" music, he enrolled for three years at the American School of Modern Music to study musical harmony, piano and... jazz. Would he agree with Frank Zappa who thought "jazz isn't dead, it just smells funny". Listening to his new album "My Bare Feet Walked on Her, you might well think so.
